Treatment Foster Care

Treatment foster care, also called therapeutic foster care, is designed to provide safe and nurturing care to a child or youth in a more structured home environment than typical foster care, and it can be a cost-effective alternative to residential treatment.  Camelot’s Treatment Foster Care program recruits, trains, and licenses specially trained Therapeutic Foster Parents who care for foster children who exhibit behaviors that require a more structured environment along with therapeutic services.

Camelot provides oversight, counseling, and therapeutic services to the children in the home and works alongside the Foster Parents to provide the best environment for these children. Therapeutic Foster Parents receive support from Camelot including training, respite, crisis on call, and a stipend to care for the children in their home.
