COVID-19 INFORMATION & UPDATES

Camelot Community Care, hopes that you and your families are safe and healthy and continue to navigate these uncertain times with ease.

In the past several weeks, we have learned new terms, like, "social distancing" and "safer at home" and have felt the impact of the COVID-19/coronavirus outbreak on all aspects of our lives. Adjustments are being made at home, schools have gone "virtual", businesses are making pivots to stay open, and our healthcare system is feeling the frontline stress. These times are difficult for all communities, including those is foster care.

As you know, the health and safety of children, families and staff is our top priority as Camelot continues to deliver services in all of our programs while staying abreast of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Our programs continue to be fully operational and have transitioned to telemedicine as well as "virtual" check-ins and meetings with those that we serve. We are taking proactive steps to keep our children, families and staff members safe while meeting the ever changing needs of our community. We continue to monitor and pivot accordingly to all recommendations by the CDC and our local health authorities.

Every day, our staff are going above and beyond to ensure the health and safety of those who are in our care. This has meant making hard choices and implementing new measures that impact our day-to-day operations ensuring the on-going safety of the children and families that we serve. To that end, Camelot is steadfast in our continued service to the communities we serve.

Camelot would like to extend a warm thank you to those who have called, emailed or reached out via Facebook to inquire as to what you can do to support us during these unprecedented times. As we continue to assess the day-to-day challenges impacting foster youth and their families, we remain focused on solutions. With the help of our supporters, we are gathering emergency resources to help provide: (1) Rent & Utility Assistance (2) Food and other basic needs (3) Laptops & Internet resources (supporting virtual schooling) (4) Transportation costs (fuel, insurance, bus passes, etc.).

Camelot Community Care has created a "Wish List" of needed items that have been identified by the individuals that we serve. We would welcome donations of any/all of the item(s) listed in the Amazon Smile Link listed below or gift cards that would allow them to facilitate their needs through on-line shopping services. If your company and/or you personally would like to donate, click here to visit our AMAZON SMILES WISH LIST.

We are endlessly inspired by your kindness and commitment to make a difference during these trying times. Foster youth are some of the most vulnerable people in our society and our efforts are nothing without the help of individuals like you! THANK YOU!

Here is a list of community resources that you might find helpful and relevant during this time and we hope they are of assistance to you.

Camelot will continue to diligently monitor the situation and follow the recommendations of the CDC, World Health Organization, and the Florida Department of Health. Camelot continues to assess operational decisions regularly and pivots programming and resources accordingly. As additional updates and specific service delivery plans are available, this webpage will be updated and posts will be made to our Facebook Page.
