Week 3 - Board Member - TBYO Program

As our "Change A Lifetime" Annual Appeal continues, Mr. Ron Mirenda, is proud to serve on Camelot Community Care's Board of Directors and share with you the "why" for his involvement with all of the great work we do throughout the community!

In particular, Ron highlights our Tampa Bay Youth Outreach (TBYO) Program that serves unaccompanied homeless youth, ages 18 -24, in Hillsborough County.

This program in particular is completely privately funded and continues to be the primary source of support to unaccompanied homeless youth in the county.  TBYO is the only program specifically for Unaccompanied Youth in Hillsborough County that provides navigation, case management services, and linkages to community resources. TBYO holds office hours at the Ybor Youth Clinic. Through this partnership, questions were added to the medical intake form to ask about housing stability.  This has allowed homeless youth or those at risk of becoming homeless to be identified earlier.

Watch the video and learn more about "why" Ron joined the board and "why" it is important to support the TBYO program.
